Raymond G. Truitt, the Managing Partner for Finance and Operations for Ballard Spahr and a partner in the Real Estate Department in the firm’s Baltimore office, has been appointed to the Board of Advisors of Loyola College, Loyola University Maryland’s school of arts and sciences.

The Board of Advisors assists the dean and the leadership of Loyola College in communicating the vision, values, and plans of Loyola University Maryland and the College to students, faculty, staff, and administrators.

“I am honored to join the College’s advisory board,” said Mr. Truitt, who graduated from Loyola in 1979. “I understand and appreciate the value of the Jesuit education provided at Loyola, and I look forward to helping others enjoy the full potential of that experience.”

At Ballard Spahr, in addition to his firmwide management duties, Mr. Truitt concentrates his practice on commercial real estate financing, leasing, development, and restructuring. He is also a member of the firm’s Elected Board.

Mr. Truitt is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, as well as a member of the Johns Hopkins University Edward St. John Real Estate Program Advisory Board. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at The University of Baltimore School of Law and at the Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Truitt has been named to the Best Lawyers in America for 13 consecutive years and to Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business for eight consecutive years.
