Eben C. Hansel, an associate in the Baltimore office of Ballard Spahr, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Live Baltimore, a nonprofit organization that markets the City of Baltimore as a great place to live.

Live Baltimore provides education and marketing outreach programs, and works with the City of Baltimore, real estate agents, and individually to encourage more city living and grow the city’s population. Ballard Spahr has a long history with Live Baltimore. Jon M. Laria, Managing Partner of the firm’s Baltimore office, served on the organization’s board from 2004 to 2011, including two years as president.

“As a Baltimore resident, I know how important it is to have a vibrant and diverse city community,” said Mr. Hansel. “I am happy to provide my time and experience to help Live Baltimore promote city living.”

His real estate practice covers all aspects of commercial real estate law and transactions, including permitting, title, zoning and environmental issues, acquisitions and dispositions, site development and construction, project financing, loan workouts and acquisition of distressed assets, and leasing.
