Ballard Spahr partner Tina R. Makoulian has been elected a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL). The College comprises attorneys recognized for their legal skills and experience, leadership in continuing legal education, and high standards of professional and ethical conduct.

Ms. Makoulian's practice encompasses complex real estate development, acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, commercial leasing, and zoning and land use. She has obtained land use approvals and development agreements for a Major League ballpark, shopping centers, corporate headquarters, research development facilities, and residential projects throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. She has been practicing for more than 15 years.

"This is a terrific opportunity and a true honor," Ms. Makoulian said. "ACREL members are leaders in real estate law. I'm looking forward to contributing to the College's goal of improving the quality of practice across the country."

Ms. Makoulian is co-partner-in-charge of Ballard Spahr's Zoning and Land Use Group and a member of the Real Estate Development, Real Estate Leasing, REITs, and Planned Communities and Condominiums Groups. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University School of Law.
