Benjamin A. Kelley, an associate in the Baltimore office of the law firm Ballard Spahr LLP, has been elected Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of the Equal Justice Associates, a private-bar fundraising and networking arm of The Maryland Legal Aid Bureau.

The Maryland Legal Aid Bureau is a private, nonprofit, multifunded law firm providing free legal services to low-income people statewide. Equal Justice Associates supports the efforts of Maryland Legal Aid by building a network of advocates dedicated to advancing the cause of access to justice as a human right, and providing professional development and mentorship opportunities to young legal professionals.

Mr. Kelley is an associate in the Real Estate Department and a member of the Real Estate Finance Group and Transactional Finance Group, representing both lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate and multifamily housing finance transactions. In addition, he has acted as underwriter's counsel in public bond issuances. Mr. Kelley received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
