Teri M. Guarnaccia, a partner in the law firm Ballard Spahr LLP, has received the 2009 Leadership in Law award from The Daily Record.

Leadership in Law recognizes members of the legal community who have devoted time and energy to bettering the profession, and have played an important role in mentoring future, professional, and community leaders. Ms. Guarnaccia received the award at a ceremony on November 20.

Ms. Guarnaccia is a partner in Ballard Spahr's Public Finance Department and a member of the CCRC Financing and Workout, Housing, Transactional Finance, Higher Education, Health Care, Real Estate Development, and P3/Infrastructure Groups. In addition to participating in real estate finance transactions, including representation of large institutional lenders, she concentrates her practice in all areas of public and project finance in which she advises issuers, underwriters, remarketing agents, and borrowers in connection with the structuring, issuance, offering, placement, remarketing, and restructuring of tax-exempt and taxable municipal securities. Ms. Guarnaccia represents clients in connection with the financing of facilities for student, multifamily, and senior housing; continuing care retirement communities; private schools, colleges, and universities; and hospitals and health care systems. She has also worked on financing transactions with public housing authorities throughout the country, serving as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, and special HUD counsel.
