Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP Chair Arthur Makadon announced today the addition of seven new attorneys to the firm's partnership. Elected in April, they become partners today.

The new partners span the litigation, business and finance, public finance, and real estate practices and are resident in four of the firm's 12 offices – Philadelphia, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Washington, D.C.

"We are delighted to have such a talented and engaging group of lawyers as our partners," Mr. Makadon said. "They have shown that they have what it takes to serve clients with distinction and to help the firm continue to flourish."

Ballard Spahr's new partners are listed below.

Michele L. Bax is a member of the Public Finance Department. She is resident in the firm's Phoenix office. Her practice focuses on representing governments and public agencies in various bond transactions.

James P. Cooke is a member of the Real Estate Department in Washington, D.C. His practice concentrates on real estate and secured financing. Mr. Cooke serves on the board of directors of the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization.

Patrick R. Gillard is a member of the Business and Finance Department in Philadelphia. His practice is dedicated to public utility law, energy regulation, and corporate and project finance.

William K. Kennedy II is a member of the Litigation Department in Philadelphia. He represents corporations and government agencies in employment-related litigation and labor negotiations and disputes.

Paul Lantieri III is a member of the Litigation Department in Philadelphia. He defends companies and individuals in the litigation and settlement of securities, RICO, fiduciary duty, and antitrust claims. He also advises clients in intellectual property matters concerning consumer products and service.

Randall M. Larsen is a member of the Public Finance Department in Salt Lake City. He represents clients in the public finance, municipal disclosure, securities, and real estate areas.

Jason A. Leckerman is a member of the Litigation Department in Philadelphia. He practices primarily in the areas of pharmaceutical litigation, antitrust, shareholder disputes, and consumer fraud. Last year, he received the Alan J. Davis Award from Ballard Spahr and was honored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association for his pro bono work.
