Ballard Spahr assisted with the financing for one of the largest deals of the week–The University Financing Foundation Inc. (TUFF)'s roughly $163.6 million purchase of three properties on Third Avenue in Manhattan from Mautner-Glick Corp.

The properties, which are a mix of retail and residential buildings, are 1329 Third Ave., 1345 Third Ave., and 1339 Third Ave., and are located on the Upper East Side, between the 72nd Street and 86th Street Q and R train subway stations.

TUFF landed a $246 million loan from CGA Mortgage Capital LLC, a matter on which Fred Wolf III and John Engel at Ballard Spahr counseled CGA Mortgage Capital.
