Judge Blasts Sun Sentinel for Publishing Confidential Information in Parkland School Shooting Case

A judge criticized the Sun Sentinel for publishing confidential—but legally obtained—information about the Parkland School shooter following a court order that the district redact much of the report to protect the shooter’s privacy.

Ballard Spahr Partner Chuck Tobin—an attorney for the media coalition—said the order was "flatly unconstitutional" adding, "[t]he order the court entered did not tell the journalists or the newspaper what they could or couldn’t publish."
