An eclectic group of Indian-American business owners, physicians, IT entrepreneurs, educators and attorneys is about to embark on its mission of nurturing relationships between the greater Delaware community and the state's Indian-Americans. The group members form the newly established Delaware Commission on Indian Heritage and Culture that was approved by the State legislature late last year.

Ballard Spahr Partner Emilie R. Ninan has been appointed to the Commission. Ms. Ninan is chair of the firm's Public Finance Department and was a member of the trade mission delegation to India led by former Delaware Gov. Jack Markell.
