Proposed zoning changes to allow for a new corporate headquarters for Under Armour are part of a package set to be debated before the Baltimore Planning Commission on Aug. 25.

It is the latest development in the rapid move by Sagamore Development Co. and Under Armour to redevelop Port Covington into a mini-city and 3 million-square-foot corporate headquarters for the sportswear giant.

Jon M. Laria, an attorney for Under Armour and Sagamore Development, filed the petition on behalf of the companies last month seeking the changes. Sagamore Development is heading the redevelopment of 216 acres of the project and is owned by Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank.
