Thomas W. Hazlett, a commercial litigator with more than a decade of experience representing clients in toxic tort/product liability, antitrust, intellectual property, and financial services disputes, has joined Ballard Spahr as of counsel in Philadelphia, firm Chair Mark Stewart announced.

Hazlett has tried several cases to verdict, including multiple jury trials. He has handled appeals in state and federal courts, including arguments in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and litigated motions for injunctive relief that included full evidentiary hearings. He will be a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group.

Hazlett advises on antitrust and Robinson-Patman Act price discrimination issues, conducts insurance coverage analysis, and develops regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies. He also served as lead trial counsel for a national bank in breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract bench trials alleging millions in damages.
