A lawsuit alleging that Comcast monopolized the Philadelphia-area cable market is settling for $50 million in cash and services, according to court papers filed this week. Under the settlement, current Comcast subscribers would be given the option either to deduct $15 off their next bill or take one of several options for service; former subscribers can make a claim for $15 in cash. Ballard Spahr attorney M. Norman Goldberger represented Comcast in this matter.
