The lawyer for the developer of a proposed Baltimore-area Wal-Mart-anchored shopping center has agreed to delay a city board hearing over residents' objections about the number of board members deciding the appeal.

Ballard Spahr partner Jon M. Laria, who represents WV Urban Development in the planned development of 25th Street Station, had agreed to proceed with the hearing, but the president of the Remington Neighborhood Alliance objected. “We have a very strong case on the merits for this extension and there’s really no point in an adding a procedural hurdle to it. So, we look forward to having a hearing in the next few weeks,” Mr. Laria said.
