The Pennsylvania Ethics Commission is winding down its yearlong investigation into allegations that top executives at the State Liquor Control Board (LCB) accepted favors from vendors with a vested interest in liquor regulation. Since last summer, investigators have been interviewing current and former employees of the LCB to determine whether gifts were accepted in violation of ethics laws. The full Ethics Commission will now decide if violations occurred.

Ballard Spahr partner Henry E. Hockeimer, Jr., who represents former LCB board member Patrick J. Stapleton III, said, "We've continued to have contact with the Ethics Commission, and we hope and expect to reach a positive resolution in the very near future."
