Ballard Spahr and Philadelphia partner Shannon D. Farmer were recently named winners of the 2013 International Law Office/Lexology Client Choice awards. Ms. Farmer was honored in Pennsylvania for her labor and employment work, and the firm was recognized for excellence in quality of service and client care in Utah.

Awardees were chosen based on survey results obtained from International Law Office and Lexology in-house counsel subscribers. Participants in the survey rated partners and law firms on quality of legal advice, value, fee structures, response time, and use of technology, among other factors.

"Being responsive to clients' needs and providing high-quality yet cost-effective service is a hallmark of Ballard Spahr, and something I strive to achieve every day in my labor and employment practice. I'm honored to be recognized with an award that is based on client satisfaction," said Ms. Farmer, who has also been recognized in the 2009 through 2012 editions of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business as a leader in labor and employment law, and in the 2012 and 2013 editions of The Best Lawyers in America for employment law.

Blake K. Wade, Managing Partner of the firm's Salt Lake City office, stated: "Ballard Spahr has had a presence in Utah for more than a quarter-century, serving both regional and national clients. We're proud of our tradition of exceptional client service in this state, and we're delighted to be recognized with a Client Choice award."
