Incoming Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane has tapped Ballard Spahr's Adrian R. King, Jr., as her new First Deputy Attorney General, starting January 16. Ms. Kane and Mr. King have known each other since their days as Temple Law students.

Before becoming a Ballard Spahr partner, Mr. King served under then Governor Ed Rendell as Director of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, a cabinet-level position. In his practice at the firm, Mr. King was especially experienced in the area of public-private partnerships (P3). Gov. Rendell returned to the firm after his tenure in Harrisburg ended; he now devotes his practice to P3 and housing.
