Ballard Spahr is among several Philadelphia-area companies that received high rankings on the 2013 Corporate Equality Index released by the Human Rights Campaign. The index recognizes businesses that have demonstrated leadership and excellence in LGBTQ workplace equality.

Ballard Spahr received a score of 90, the same as it did last year. Companies are evaluated on criteria such as having an equal employment opportunity policy that includes sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, providing equivalent spousal and partner benefits, and making a public commitment to LGBTQ-specific efforts.
