As Chair of the Maryland Sustainable Growth Commission, Ballard Spahr’s Jon M. Laria recently addressed a joint meeting of the State of Maryland’s House Appropriations, Economic Matters and Ways & Means committees. He told lawmakers that conflicting policies from state and local governments are hampering developers, and that Gov. Martin O’Malley’s planned review of regulations on business will help those developers obtain faster decisions on their projects.
