Matthew N. McClure, a partner in Ballard Spahr’s Real Estate Department, said the developer of a proposed mixed development in Philadelphia’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood likely would seek a zoning change through a bill in City Council. Mr. McClure represents the developer, who appeared with his project team at a meeting of the Development Review Committee of the Chestnut Hill Community Association.

The team’s presentation answered many of the questions posed by the approximately 100 neighborhood residents at the meeting. The development on the former Magarity Ford site would include condos, townhouses, and The Fresh Market grocery, dramatically reshaping an intersection as well as the property itself.
