Attorney-client privilege is a two-way street in Pennsylvania, according to a recent decision by the Commonwealth’s Supreme Court. In Pennsylvania Law Weekly’s analysis of the case, reporter Gina Passarella spoke to Burt Rublin, co-partner in charge of Ballard Spahr’s appellate practice. Mr. Rublin said the decision in Gillard v. AIG provided “much-needed clarification to eliminate the confusion and uncertainty that has plagued both the court and practitioners and parties.”

“Sometimes those old chestnuts are worth still looking to and relying upon,” Mr. Rublin said. “They got it right the first time around.”
