Ballard Spahr partner Harry Weiss was retained by the community group Friends of the Wetlands, which is opposed to the proposed Rails to Trails bike path on an abandoned railroad bed on the south end of Ocean City, N.J. Mr. Weiss said he was retained “in case the worst-case scenario unfolds: a legal fight over the need for a bike trail through the wetlands. If common sense can prevail, there’s no need to fight. There is simply no compelling need for a bike trail in a salt marsh,” he said.
