One of the most popular committee meetings at the American Resort Development Association’s fall conference in Washington, D.C., was chaired by Steven Peterson, a partner in Ballard Spahr’s Salt Lake City office. The meeting of the Fractional and PRC (Private Residence Club) Forum committee focused on lessons learned, potential new norms for fractionals, and possible new methods going forward.

One of the topics involved possible conversions of whole ownership projects to fractionals. As a leading attorney, Mr. Petersen put that topic in context for the non-lawyers in the meeting. “The jury is still out, but I haven’t seen any successful conversions,” he said.
