A panel of distinguished arbitrators will share their perspectives on and experiences with labor arbitration. The panel, moderated by Ballard Spahr attorneys, will consider a series of hypothetical cases involving the arbitration process, standards for just cause, and other procedural issues. Ethical issues surrounding ex parte communication with the arbitrator, past practice, and last-chance agreements also will be discussed. Insights and practical tools for labor relations and human resources professionals, as well as labor attorneys, will be provided.
