The resulting impacts of this new administration on the commercial real estate sector needs to be discussed and debated. In addition, Senate leadership changes within the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Development and Finance Committees, will surely impact issues such as carried interest, stepped- up basis and like-kind exchanges. The new Administration is also expected to tackle important topics, such as tax correction provisions, infrastructure funding and sustainability, terrorism risk insurance reauthorization, deregulation, GSE reform, and more.
