Ballard Spahr is pleased to continue its Hot Topics in Higher Education Webinar Series in 2017. Please join us for the fourth program of the year, featuring a discussion on income share agreements (ISAs), a cutting-edge area in higher education finance.

With an ISA, a student receives education funding and in return pays back a fixed percentage of his or her post-education salary (and sometimes other income as well) over a set number of years. Students may pursue any employment or postgraduate education they would like, and their payment amounts and term vary based on their salaries or income. By the end of an ISA term, a student may have repaid less or more than the amount of funds received, typically subject to a minimum salary level and a maximum repayment cap.

Topics will include:

  • How ISAs compare to other education finance offerings
  • The legal and regulatory landscape for ISAs
  • Insights from Purdue Research Foundation’s innovative ISA program launched at Purdue University in 2016
Additional information about the remaining programs for the 2017 series and registration links for future programs will be posted regularly here.
