In this CLE, Ballard Spahr attorneys Phil Yannella and Kim Phan will be joined by Robin Myers, the ACC Foundation's Director of Research, and Neal Dittersdorff, a member of the ACC cybersecurity project advisory group, to discuss the results of the ACC Foundation's "The State of Cybersecurity Report." The report, which was underwritten by Ballard Spahr, is the largest of its kind benchmarking study of cybersecurity preparedness. We will summarize key findings from the study and provide practical takeaways that in-house attorneys can begin implementing to enhance their overall level of cybersecurity.

Issues covered will include:

  • Why in-house counsel should be thinking about cybersecurity
  • Benchmarking results for industries, such as real estate and higher education
  • Key cyber policies and procedures
  • Advice on handling data breaches from GCs and CLOs
