Higher education and research institutions must work to protect the commercialization of ideas and inventions. This is managed through a variety of methods, including enforcing trademark, copyright, trade secret and patent claims, technology transfer licensing, and patent procurement.

In this webinar, Dr. Shortell and Dr. Marty will discuss the concepts of patent experimental use, including experimental negation and defense. The webinar will also examine the regulatory approval exemption and related law, with supporting case examples. Among others, these elements of patent law are important to pharmaceutical research and testing in academic settings.

Additional information about the remaining programs for the 2016 series and registration links for future programs will be posted regularly here.
