We are pleased to invite you to the 21st Annual Consumer Financial Services Institute, sponsored by the Practising Law Institute, April 4-5, 2016, in New York City (and by live webcast and groupcast in Cincinnati; Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; and Cleveland) and on May 12-13, 2016, in Chicago.

PLI Registration

This year’s Institute will explore in detail a number of important developments in consumer financial services regulation and litigation. I am delighted that Ballard Spahr will participate. I am again co-chairing the event, as I have for the past 20 years, and my partner Christopher J. Willis will be speaking on the "CFPB Speaks" and the "Fair Lending" panels again.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau continues its onslaught of regulatory, supervisory, and enforcement activities. As was the case last year, the lead-off morning session on the first day will feature a panel discussion titled “The CFPB Speaks: Recent Initiatives and Upcoming Activities,” which will be devoted to CFPB developments. The two-hour panel discussion will include four senior CFPB lawyers who are responsible for the most significant regulatory, supervisory, and enforcement activities at the CFPB. I will moderate the panel by questioning the CFPB panelists. Chris Willis and another industry lawyer will provide an industry perspective.

The Institute will also focus on a variety of other cutting-edge issues and developments.
