Ballard Spahr partners Edward J. McAndrew and David M. Stauss will discuss the results of the ACC Foundation's recent "The State of Cybersecurity Report." The report, which was underwritten by Ballard Spahr, is the largest of its kind benchmarking study of cybersecurity preparedness. We will summarize key findings from the study and provide practical takeaways that in-house attorneys, chief compliance officers, and chief privacy officers can begin implementing to enhance their overall level of cybersecurity preparedness. We also will outline key issues that arise in responding to cyber incidents.

Mr. McAndrew joined Ballard Spahr after spending nearly a decade as a federal cybercrime prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Offices for the Eastern District of Virginia and for the District of Delaware. He is a counselor, investigator, and trial lawyer who helps clients navigate life in the digital world. Named a "Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Trailblazer" by National Law Journal, he advises clients on cybersecurity, digital privacy, cyber-incident response, national security issues, digital speech and conduct, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and enforcement.
