We are pleased to announce the schedule for the 2016 Hot Topics in Higher Education webinar series, starting with a March program on the Affordable Care Act. Join our attorneys throughout the year for legal updates and discussions of pressing issues affecting colleges and universities.

March 2, 2016: Affordable Care Act Implications for Colleges and Universities

This webinar will focus primarily on how the employer mandate and related reporting requirements apply to colleges and universities. The employer mandate requires employers to offer health coverage to full-time employees that meet particular requirements. Otherwise, the employer must pay an assessment to the IRS. Colleges and universities face challenges meeting the mandate because of rules specifically aimed at them and because of the employment situations that a higher educational institution must address, including adjunct faculty, student employees, coaching staffs, and a number of other situations.

Additional information about the remaining programs for 2016 series and registration links for future programs will be posted regularly here.
