Please join Ballard Spahr’s Antitrust Group for an interactive, three-hour CLE focused on antitrust law, offering one hour of ethics credit. A panel of civil litigators and criminal defense lawyers will lead sessions including:

  • Antitrust Refresh and a Look to the Future
    Session One
A combination refresher on antitrust basics with current developments and a look to the future of antitrust law and enforcement. We will cover what every in-house lawyer should know about antitrust law–whether it relates to litigation, corporate transactions, or general business. This session will include a discussion of recent high-profile antitrust cases, merger news, competitor cases, the intersection of patent law and antitrust, and the current view on the usefulness of compliance programs.
  • Privilege and Ethical Issues in Antitrust Litigation and Investigations
    Session Two
An overview of privilege and other ethics-related issues that all lawyers should know, including concrete steps and considerations in preparing to initiate or defend against litigation, responding to government investigations and inquiries, and analyzing the antitrust implications of mergers and acquisitions.
