Recently published OCC and Federal Reserve regulatory guidance on risk management of third-party relationships has replaced and/or supplemented existing longstanding guidance from the agencies on this topic. However, the new guidance in some respects is likely more than a simple restatement. At least for the OCC, the guidance reflects a deepened “heightened expectation” regarding what constitutes the proper conduct and management of such third-party relationships.
Topics
- OCC, Federal Reserve, CFPB, and FDIC guidance on risk management of third-party relationships
- Special considerations for certain types of third-party relationships
