As part of the President’s Executive Order on Cybersecurity, NIST, NTIA, and DHS were tasked to work with the private sector to better protect our nation's critical infrastructure. They have released draft Critical Infrastructure Protection standards, but what do those standards mean and how should enterprises begin to think through the process of implementation?

In this webinar, presenters from Ballard Spahr and the Internet Security Alliance will provide an overview of the NTIA-, NIST-, and DHS-proposed standards and recommendations to the President for critical infrastructure cybersecurity both in the public and private sectors, and how it affects the relationship between government agencies and the private sector.

Topics

  • What is considered "critical infrastructure" and how this definition affects many in the private sector
  • NIST-proposed cybersecurity standards
  • NTIA incentives proposed for compliance with standards
  • Creating a cybersecurity plan based on the NIST standards
  • How to manage your relationship with government agencies to improve cybersecurity
