Providing accessibility for the disabled in housing and commercial establishments has become increasingly complicated by the overlap and frequent conflicts in the various federal, state, and local laws. These laws continue to be expanded and made more detailed. Compliance has become more difficult as safe harbors have been interpreted to be the minimum standard, and local inspectors construe codes differently than do federal officials and advocacy groups.

This program will give an overview of the various laws and how they should be applied and reconciled in the design, construction, and operation of housing and mixed-use projects. Participants can attend the program in person at Ballard Spahr’s Philadelphia office or via webinar.
