HUD released its Notice providing program instructions for the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), including eligibility and selection criteria, and seeking public comment on these instructions and criteria.

HUD's new RAD program allows public housing agencies to convert public housing to long-term Section 8 property-based contracts. One of the primary objectives of the RAD program is to provide a financing vehicle to fund deferred capital improvements. 

Panelists at this webinar will provide a brief overview of RAD and present several case studies to illustrate how RAD can be successfully used in different financing models, project structures, and locations. HUD's Gregory A. Byrne will be available to comment on the case studies and to answer questions.
