501(c)(3) organizations with outstanding tax-exempt bonds now have had their first taste of filing Schedule K to the revised Form 990. What lessons have we learned about gathering information to meet the new requirements? What questions remain? And what new challenges will the 2010 version of Form 990 present?

This half-day seminar will help nonprofits prepare for the tax season and get the answers they need to make the Schedule K process more efficient and effective. The program will feature panel discussions with Ballard Spahr lawyers and professionals from Avant Strategic Partners on Schedule K to IRS Form 990.

Topics for discussion include:

  • Record retention
  • Final allocations
  • Private-use calculations
  • Written post-issuance compliance procedures

This seminar will be held live in Ballard Spahr's Philadelphia office and through videoconference in all other Ballard Spahr offices, and will be available via dial-in and as a webinar.
