In May, Philadelphia will hold its municipal primary and kick off an election year in which more City Council seats will change hands than at any time in the past 20 years. Please join us for a lively discussion with former Governor Edward G. Rendell and speakers from the Committee of Seventy as we take an in-depth look at election laws and election protection issues in Philadelphia.

This CLE event will review the basic political structure and laws applicable to City elections, while giving attendees the inside scoop on what really happens at the polls on election day. Attendees will also learn how they can act as a Committee of Seventy Voter Protection volunteer. Hundreds of nonpartisan volunteers will staff polling places, hotlines, and Election Court for shifts on Primary Day, May 17, answering voters' questions, providing a resource to election workers, and resolving minor disputes and issues.
