State Rep. David Stringer may be welcome in the Legislature but he's persona non grata in some northern Arizona schools.

Humboldt Unified School District officials on Wednesday notified administrators and staff that Stringer "can no longer be welcomed on any of our school campuses or permitted to participate in any school-related functions."

The Arizona Constitution says each house "may punish its members for disorderly behavior, and may, with the concurrence of two-thirds of its members, expel any member."

"The House would have to decide, through its deliberative process, whether his conduct rises to the level of disorderly behavior," said Ballard Spahr attorney Joseph Kanefield, who does extensive work in government and constitutional law. "Two thirds of the members would have to agree that that was the case and then he would be expelled."
