Anna Mahaney has earned leadership roles in the Baltimore Office of Ballard Spahr due to her extensive knowledge, hard work, attention to detail, and reliability.

As a partner before the age of 40 in a prestigious law firm, she has handled billions of dollars in complex real estate financing transactions. She is lead counsel for a number of valued, long-standing clients of the firm.

Additionally, her pro bono clients have included a local nonprofit developer who needed help financing affordable rental housing for recovering addicts and a faith-based nonprofit seeking property for a homeless shelter.

She is chairman of a committee focused on mentorship for Community Law in Action Mentoring Program.

“Law, real estate, and finance are professional fields where men have historically far outnumbered women—especially women under 40,” Mahaney says. “Through my efforts to excel at the intersection of these three fields, I am proud to serve as a role model and inspire others to pursue their professional goals and dreams—even when it means overcoming traditional barriers.”
