Travis J. Leach and Amit Kakkar—lawyers in Ballard Spahr's Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity Group—have received the 2017 Emerging Leaders Award from The M&A Advisor. The award, widely regarded as a pinnacle of achievement in the M&A industry, recognizes excellence in deal-making, restructuring, and financing, and spotlights the achievements of leading firms and professionals.

The Emerging Leaders category celebrates professionals who have reached a significant level of success in the industry before the age of 40. Winners were selected by an independent judging panel of leading M&A executives on the basis of accomplishments in the industry and service to the community.
