Justin P. Klein, who heads the securities practice at Ballard Spahr, has been reappointed to a three-year term on the Attorney Advisory Committee of the Pennsylvania Securities Commission.

The Committee reviews proposals for changes to the Pennsylvania Securities Act of 1972 and PSC-recommended regulations, and recommends its own changes to statutes and regulations. The Committee's 10 members are drawn from the ranks of attorneys across the state, both practicing and in academia, who are knowledgeable in securities legislation and regulation.

Mr. Klein, a member of Ballard Spahr's Business and Finance Department, handles a variety of securities matters, including public and private offerings. He represents companies in regulatory and enforcement proceedings before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, state securities commissions, and securities industry self-regulatory organizations. He also represents boards of directors and committees of boards in related party and extraordinary transactions. Mr. Klein spent nine years at the SEC in various posts, including as Assistant Director of the Division of Corporation Finance.
