Emilie R. Ninan, a partner in the Wilmington office of Ballard Spahr LLP, has been selected to join the North American South Asian Bar Association (NASABA) delegation attending the arrival of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the White House on Tuesday, November 24.

Ms. Ninan is the founder and president of the South Asian Bar Association of Delaware, the state’s first minority bar association, and the co-founder of the South Asian Women Attorney's Network. She was the 2008 recipient of NASABA’s Cornerstone Award.

A partner in Ballard Spahr's Public Finance Department, Ms. Ninan manages the public finance practice in the firm's Delaware office. She represents governmental, quasi-governmental, and private entities and has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, issuer's counsel, and trustee's counsel on a variety of municipal bond financings.
