Eric J. Knickrehm is a health care attorney who divides his time between transactional and regulatory matters. He counsels a variety of clients in the health care industry—such as private equity funds, practice management companies, lenders, insurers, managed care plans, hospitals, post-acute care providers, and physician practice groups—in mergers, acquisitions, investments, underwriting, and financings across the country, as well as in regulatory compliance matters. Eric also represents health care trade associations, pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers, and post-acute care providers.
Eric maintains an active regulatory counseling and compliance practice. He focuses on compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, state laws governing telehealth, and state and federal fraud and abuse laws.

- Counseled a healthcare focused private equity firm in the formation of its orthopedic practice management portfolio company and that company's investment in a Florida orthopedic practice.
- Counseled a Chicago-based private equity firm in the formation of its ophthalmology practice management portfolio company and that company's affiliation with over a dozen ophthalmology and optometry practices in Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas.
