Daniel A. Arellano


Daniel’s practice focuses on government affairs, complex litigation, and investigations. As part of his government affairs and election law practice, he advises clients on issues involving election administration, campaign finance and tax compliance, the First Amendment and open government laws, procurement, and lobbying. He has litigated these and other complex questions of public and constitutional law in administrative and enforcement proceedings, at trial, and on appeal.

In his litigation practice, Daniel is particularly experienced in appellate matters and critical motions practice. He has briefed dozens of cases and has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Arizona Supreme Court, and the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Pro Bono Experience

Daniel maintains a robust pro bono practice. He has represented pro bono clients in immigration proceedings, landlord-tenant disputes, and civil rights litigation, often applying his appellate experience to help indigent clients obtain relief on appeal and to advance the interests of community organizations as amici curiae.
