John J. Engel represents developers in all aspects of acquisition, financing, construction, and maintenance of commercial properties and residential developments, and landlords and tenants in negotiating office and retail leases. He also represents lenders and borrowers in connection with providing and obtaining financing for commercial acquisition and development, including loan workouts.
While in law school, Mr. Engel served a clerkship with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency – Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance, Water Enforcement Division, in Washington, D.C. He also interned with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, arguing asylum and removal cases in federal immigration court.
