Tobey M. Daluz

Tobey M. Daluz is a partner in Ballard Spahr's Wilmington, Delaware, office. A member of the Litigation Department and the Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Capital Recovery Group, Ms. Daluz concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate restructuring, workouts, and general bankruptcy litigation. She represents debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, insurers, indenture trustees, and official committees in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. She also represents buyers of assets in the context of sales under section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Ms. Daluz is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and is on the Advisory Board of the American Bankruptcy Institute Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop. She is the founding Chair (now member) of the Delaware Network of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). She is a member of the Bankruptcy Law Section and the Multicultural Judges and Lawyers Section of the Delaware State Bar Association and the Delaware Pro Bono Inn of Court. Ms. Daluz lectures both locally and nationally on the topics of bankruptcy and diversity in the legal profession.

In the role of Professional Personnel Partner, Ms. Daluz serves on the firm's Management Committee and is responsible for the recruitment, training, professional development, compensation, and evaluation of nearly 300 non-partner lawyers.

Appointee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit to serve a three-year term on its Lawyers Advisory Committee, which comments on proposed rules of the Circuit and serves as a liaison between the court and legal community
