Jeffrey S. Beenstock is a partner in the Real Estate Department and a member of the Commercial Real Estate Recovery, Eminent Domain, Housing, Real Estate Leasing, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Development, REITs, and Environment and Natural Resources Groups. His practice is concentrated in the areas of general real estate transactions and litigation, with an emphasis on redevelopment law, eminent domain, affordable housing law, and land development.
Representative Matters
- Represents developers and public housing authorities in affordable housing matters involving federal and state programs, such as HOPE VI, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, and Balanced Housing
- Obtained from HUD and other state agencies approvals and financing for projects involving the development of affordable housing for sale to qualified homebuyers
- Represents condemnors and condemnees in all phases of property acquisition through eminent domain, from negotiation through litigation; regularly deals with property acquisitions relating to redevelopment projects
- Serves as redevelopment counsel to a South Jersey municipality
