Bruce Becker is of counsel in the Intellectual Property Department. He is a member of the biotechnology, medical technology, and pharmaceutical practice teams in the Patents Group. Dr. Becker is engaged in all aspects of patent prosecution pertaining to biotechnology and biomedical devices.
Before becoming a patent attorney, Dr. Becker was a vitreoretinal surgeon. After an internal medicine internship, he served two years as a General Medical Officer in the U.S. Air Force. He then completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Florida and later sub-specialized in vitreoretinal surgery as a fellow at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.
