J. Scott Anderson is an associate in the Intellectual Property Department and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Group as well as the mechanical, medical device, and software and business methods practice teams in the Patents Group.

Mr. Anderson's practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property litigation, including patent infringement, copyright infringement, and trademark and domain name disputes. He also prosecutes patent applications directed to mechanical systems, medical devices, optical components, and business methods. He negotiates patent license agreements and counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property protection and portfolio management.

Mr. Anderson's patent litigation experience involves a variety of technologies, including avionics components, vehicle telematics, and remote diagnostics; commercial floor mats; handheld electronic devices; and automated welding systems. His litigation experience includes several jury trials as lead counsel and numerous depositions.

Pro Bono Experience

Mr. Anderson is a volunteer advocate for the Truancy Intervention Project, representing students pro bono before the juvenile court in Atlanta.
