Kenneth M. Jarin is Co-Practice Leader of Ballard Spahr's Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs and Contracting Group. Mr. Jarin represents both public and private employers in labor relations, contract negotiations, interest arbitration, employment discrimination litigation, and wage and hour disputes.

He counsels clients on matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act, and has participated in administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and various state agencies.

Mr. Jarin also leads Ballard Spahr's public sector labor and employment practice, drawing on more than 30 years of experience representing public employers in labor relations matters, including interest arbitrations, contract negotiations, and grievance arbitrations. He has served as labor counsel for more than 100 public entities, including state governments, counties, cities, towns, and townships.

Mr. Jarin has been chief labor negotiator for the City of Philadelphia since 1993.
